From May 4^th to 6^th,2018, the 7^th Jiangsu University Students Mechanical Innovation Design Competition and the 8^th National College Students Mechanical Innovation Design Competition Selection Competition was held in Xuzhou Industrial Vocational and Technical College. The participating teams in our college won 3 second prizes and 2 third prizes. Among them, the work "a lower-level occupant-type stereo garage" and "fruit picking rod (flexible robot)" entered the top 10 of the second prize.

This competition is one of the important competitions for national college students sponsored by the organizing committee of the National College Students' Mechanical Innovation Design Competition and the teaching guidance committee of the Basic Mechanical Course of the Ministry of Education. It is held every two years and is the competition for mechanical engineering and related majors of Chinese universities. The authoritative competition has a great influence on colleges and universities nationwide. The theme of this competition is “Focus on People's Livelihood and Beautiful Homeland”, which attracted more than 250 works from more than 40 universities including Southeast University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Nanjing University of Science and Technology. A total of 30 first prizes and 65 second prizes and 99 third prizes were awarded. Compared with the previous competitions, the scale of the competition has increased significantly, the quality of the work has been significantly improved, and the selection process has become more strict, open and transparent.
