On May 31, the establishment ceremony of the 2018 Senior Care International Summit Forum and the China Albert Schweitzer Geriatrics and Geriatric Care (Jiangsu) Skill Center was successfully held at the Jiangsu University Conference Center. The forum was co-sponsored by Jiangsu University and China Life Care Association, hosted by Jingjiang College, President Yan Xiaohong attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The opening ceremony was hosted by Lu Zhengnan, Dean of Jingjiang College. The China Life Care Association, the Austrian Consulate in Shanghai, the Jiangsu Provincial Nursing Association, the Graz Geriatrics Health Center in Austria, the Teaching Committee of the Nursing School of the Ministry of Education and some college leaders and experts attended the meeting.

On behalf of all the teachers and students of Jiangsu University, President Yan Xiaohong expressed warm welcome to the leaders and guests. He expressed his gratitude to the participants for supporting the forum and introduced the development status of Jiangsu University in recent years, the construction of nursing disciplines and the training of personnel. Professor Chen Zheng, Vice Chairman of China Life Care Association, Secretary General Wu Jinfeng of Jiangsu Nursing Association, Professor Xu Wenrong, Dean of Medical College, and Ms. Aiwa Bom, Director of Cultural Affairs Department of Austrian Consulate in Shanghai delivered speeches and expressed warm congratulations on the convening of the forum. Chen Wanjie, the dean of the Confucius Institute at Jiangsu University and the University of Graz, read a congratulatory letter from the mayor of Graz, Austria. After that, President Yan Xiaohong and Gerd Hartinger, President of the Graz Geriatrics Health Center in Austria, jointly unveiled the Albert Schweitzer Geriatrics and Geriatric Care (Jiangsu) Skills Center, and witnessed the opening ceremony.
