In order to commend the advanced and motivate the outstanding students to keep forging ahead and strive for strength, on the afternoon of March 7, Jingjiang College held a symposium for the winners of the Dean's Scholarship for the academic year of 2022-2023 in Conference Room 302 of the Administration Building. Du Daolin, the President of JJC, Li Wenxin, the Vice-President of JJC, and Jiang Hao, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and the Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, heads of relevant functional departments and representatives of Dean's Scholarship award-winning students and outstanding students from all secondary colleges (departments) attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Jiang Hao introduced the setting plan and selection process of the Jingjiang College Dean Scholarship as well as the basic information of the winners of the Dean's Scholarship. The award-winning students shared their stories of growth, experience and career development planning during the school period. They also put forward good opinions and suggestions on campus infrastructure construction, talent cultivation, library resources, and internationalization exchanges in light of their own study of professional courses, graduate school, and public examination.
After listening to the students' speeches, Chen Mingjun expressed his affectionate words and hope that the students will cultivate a strong sense of patriotism and national strength, set up a big ambition, have great virtues, become great talents, shoulder great responsibilities, have high aspirations, work hard, strive for the best results on the track of youth, and add honor and glory to their alma mater.
Du Daolin expressed his affirmation and appreciation for the hard work and excellent achievements of the awarded students. He put forward three points of hope for the students: First, to guard against arrogance, with the courage to overcome difficulties and the ability to learn independently, clarify their mission and goals, and constantly improve their own life pattern; second, to inherit excellence, and actively play an exemplary and leading role, influence and help more students to strive for excellence and create new achievements; third, to not forget the original intentions, continue to forge ahead, in the future of the road of learning and scientific research, to eat the pain, Thirdly, we should not forget the original intention, continue to make progress, and on the road of future study and scientific research, we should endure hardship, sweat and loneliness, and when encountering difficulties and setbacks, we should always maintain a high fighting spirit, so as to make a steady and far-reaching progress on the road ahead.
Finally, President Du Daolin awarded honorary certificates to the winners one by one and took a group photo.
We must never stop pursuing the future, as the place beyond the plain is the spring mountain. I hope that our students will take the excellent students as an example, walk with the excellent, and struggle together, so that the youth will bloom in the unremitting struggle !
