On the morning of August 31, Fan Ming, Party Secretary of Jiangsu University and Zhang Jijian, Vice President of Jiangsu University went to the check the orientation preparation work in Zhongshan campus. Lu Zhengnan, Dean of Jingjiang College, Zhou Xi'an, Deputy Dean of Jingjiang College and other responsible person from Administration Office, Department of State-Owned Assets, Logistics Department, Security Department, Logistics Group and other departments also visited the new campus.

To solve the problem of student dormitory lackness, Zhongshan campus was officially used in April, 2014 with more than 850 freshmen checking in. In April, 2015, Zhongshan Campus was further restored and improved. Freshmen of 2015 will all live in Zhongshan and Mengxi campus, where more than 1,500 students are arranged in Zhongshan campus.

Party Secretary Fan and other leaders inspected the repaired student restaurant, dormitories, classrooms and stadium. He listened to reports of preparatory work, while carefully reviewing the dining table and chairs, housing supplies, multimedia equipments and other facilities. Then he inquired about the maximum reception capacity of the cafeteria during the dining peak, campus male/female ratio of freshmen and so on. Party Secretary Fan Ming spoke highly of the college staff in various departments for their hard work to ensure the check-in of freshmen and completion of the restoration work of Zhongshan campus. While the new students’ registration date was approaching, the restoration and improvement work was still at the final finishing stage. He stressed the relevant departments and units should continue to unite, cooperate and attach great importance to water, electricity, elevator and fire safety.
