From Oct. 31st to Nov. 2nd, guided by the Ideological and Political Work Department of the Ministry of Education, hosted by the Party Construction Research Branch of Nationwide Civilian-run Higher Learning Institutions, and undertaken by Dalian Neusoft University of Information, “The Second Forum on the Work of Party Construction of Nationwide Civilian-run Higher Learning Institutions” was held in Dalian. The leaders from the Ministry of Education, the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, and the College Working Committee of Liaoning Province, and nearly 200 leading officials of school party committee from more than 140 civilian-run higher learning institutions discussed together about the new ideas of the party construction work in civilian-run higher learning institutions.

The theme of the forum was “implementing the fundamental task of morality education, cultivating and practicing socialist core values”. The delegates attending carried out deep-going discussions on the practicing approaches and working mechanisms of implementing the fundamental task of morality education, the activities of cultivating and practicing socialist core values, strengthening the construction of basic party organizations of service and innovation, the innovation of the work on college students’ ideological and political education, the recruiting and management of party members under the new situation , and the construction of the ethics of teachers. Chen Zhigang, Secretary of Party Committee of our college, conducted a deep-going communication with the party construction workers from other civilian-run higher learning institutions on the typical experience and effective approaches of cultivating and practicing socialist core values in our college.

During the forum, secretary Chen Zhigang also attended the board meeting as a member of the Party Construction Research Association of Nationwide Civilian-run Higher Learning Institutions, with more than 30 association members, reviewing and concluding the achievements of the Party Construction Research Association of Nationwide Civilian-run Higher Learning Institutions since its foundation, and discussing the following policies, ideas, content and arrangements.
