Multi-magnitude earthquake occurred in Ya'an, Sichuan on April 20th. Death of Sichuan compatriot made us distressed. In order to encourage them and unite students’ patriotism, Youth League Communist of Jingjiang College held a praying activity for Ya’an in front of the College hall.

Students signed their names on the “May Sichuan peace and Ya’an strong” banner, tied flying yellow silk ribbons on their wrists, and wrote their sincere wishes and encouraging words on the red memo. They pasted these sincere wishes on the “praying for Ya’an” exhibition wall, and kept these memo into a red heart pattern. When darkness had fallen, students placed candles into a red heart pattern, with “420.peace” in the middle. The candlelight represented students’ wishes and would be brought to Ya’an.

The activity aimed to pray for Ya’an compatriots, to stimulate students’ national feelings, and to carry forward the solidarity of positive and not afraid of difficulties.
