On December 21st, Jingjiang College held a conference to revise the undergraduate training programme at the conference hall. Vice president of Jiangsu University, Feng Zhenqing, the leaders of JC, the deans and main leaders of the departments attended the meeting. Prof. Lu Zhengnan, president of JC presided over the meeting.
Mr. Feng firstly thanked all the participants for attending the meeting desptie their busy schedule and then he pointed out that JC’s achievement in these 10 years depended mostly on the support and devotion of all the faculty. He’s hopeful to see the Amendment of JC’s Undergraduate Training Programme will be worked out with its own characteristics and based on the requirement of third level university students in the beginning of the Twelfth Five Year Plan.
Then, vice president Zhao Yuesheng announced the guidance of the Amendment on behalf of JC. The Amendment aims to pracitce “students oriented” training model and highlight the charateristics as the guiding ideology. It’s based on four principles, such as keeping in line with the overall optimization, developing in a harmonious way, focusing on the application and teaching students in accordance with their aptitude. Mr. Zhao put 16 items of specific requirements in the framework of the Amendment, offered 7 pieces of suggestions and gave a brief illustration of the amending procedure.
At last president Lu expressed his sincere thanks to the attendees and gave his best wishes to JC’s leap forward in the teaching and training level.
