On June 21st, the 2024 Graduation Ceremony and Degree Conferring Ceremony of Jiangsu University Jingjiang College were grandly held in the lecture hall of the University Student Activity Center. Chen Hong, Vice President of Jiangsu University, Li Guohao, Secretary-General of the Alumni Association of Jiangsu University, and all the leaders of the college attended the ceremony. The principal persons in charge of relevant functional departments and each secondary college (department), teacher representatives, alumni representatives, parent representatives, and graduate representatives participated in the ceremony on site. Jiang Hao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of the college, presided over the ceremony.
At the beginning of the ceremony, everyone stood up and the national anthem was played and sung.
Chen Hong sent affectionate messages to the graduates. As the students are about to embark on a new journey in life and write a new chapter of poetry, she put forward three expectations: First, she hopes that the students will plant the seeds of loving our motherland deep in their hearts; Second, she hopes that the students will always maintain their anticipation for the beautiful and dare to embrace infinite possibilities; Third, she hopes that the students will learn to reap "sweetness" from "voluntarily taking on hardships".
Du Daolin, the Dean of the college, sent his best wishes to the graduates, encouraging them to be "erudite, reasonable, sincere, and professional", and sincerely wished each graduate to contribute their own strength to the great cause of building Chinese modernization.
The graduate representative from the School of Management and Humanities carefully created a paper-cut work titled "The Founding Ceremony of the People's Republic of China" with unique paper-cut art and presented it to the school. This work is not only a deep tribute to the glorious history of the motherland but also a vivid interpretation of the responsibilities and commitments of the youth in the new era. Cui Jingui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the college, accepted the gift on behalf of the college.
Teacher representative Xu Tingting from the Department of Basic Course Teaching, alumni representative Wang Zehua, the person in charge of the Investment Banking Department of Jiangsu Branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, parent representative Yuan Jing, the parent of Wang Tianchi, an outstanding graduate from the School of Electrical and Information Engineering, and graduate representative Gong Yuxuan from the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering respectively delivered speeches at the ceremony. Minister Zhao Jiqing of the Student Affairs Department submitted the list of 2024 graduates to Li Guohao, and all the 2024 graduates officially became the alumni of Jiangsu University Jingjiang College.
Finally, Chen Hong, together with all the leaders of the college, respectively presented honorary certificates to the representatives of outstanding graduates, turned the tassels for the representatives of graduates and presented degree certificates. The ceremony was elaborately designed with a surprise. Chen Hong presented birthday cakes to the representatives of graduates who have their birthdays today, wishing them double happiness for their graduation and birthdays.
Chasing dreams across mountains and seas, embarking on a new journey again. May the 3440 graduates, with the expectations and blessings of their alma mater, step onto a new journey, meet new challenges, and compose a glorious chapter of life that is of merit to the country, of honor to the school, and of pride to themselves.
