On the morning of September 1st, Jingjiang College held a meeting to arrange the key work for the second half of 2024 in the lecture hall on the third floor of the Academic Exchange Center. All the college leaders, heads of secondary units, management cadres, and personnel with senior and associate senior professional titles participated in this meeting. The meeting was chaired by Cui Jingui, the Party Secretary of the College.

     Dean Du Daolin reviewed and summarized the major achievements of the College in the first half of 2024. He deployed the key work for the second half of the year around Party building, target tasks, specialty construction, teaching staff, talent cultivation, and educational environment. He also reported on the budget implementation situation in the first half of the year and the completion situation of the core goals for the whole year. He emphasized that although the work of the College in the first half of the year was on a good track, the tasks in the second half of the year were still arduous. All the teaching staff should reach a consensus, firm their steps, be brave in innovation and breakthroughs, and meet the challenges and opportunities of the new semester. The heads of each department should conscientiously implement the main responsibilities, accelerate the progress of budget implementation, improve the performance of fund utilization, and ensure the high-quality completion of the annual budget targets of each special fund. Each unit should further clarify the responsibilities and refine the implementation plans according to the quantitative goals and key work in 2024, and ensure that every measure is implemented effectively and that all the work tasks for the whole year are successfully completed.

     In his speech, Cui Jingui pointed out that in the first half of 2024, the College had solidly promoted various works, ensured the campus safety and stability, and achieved good school-running results. In the second half of the year, each unit should plan scientifically, grasp the key points, break through the difficulties, refine the work measures and paths, and help the College's undertakings to reach a new level. He emphasized four points of view: First, it is necessary to raise the political stance, take learning and implementing the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China as a major political task, and actively adapt to the new situations and requirements. Second, it is necessary to carry forward the spirit of educators, strengthen the construction of a high-quality and professional teaching staff in the new era, improve the professional quality of teachers, cultivate noble teaching ethics and styles, promote the social fashion of respecting teachers and valuing education, and strive to run an education that satisfies the people. Third, it is necessary to firmly anchor the annual target tasks, take talent cultivation as the core goal and specialty construction as the main means, continuously improve the school-running level and quality; focus on strengthening budget management, strengthening budget constraints, strictly supervising the budget, and improving the school-running benefits. Fourth, it is necessary to go all out to do a good job in safety and stability work, compact the responsibilities for safety and stability, and solidly complete all the work at the beginning of the semester.
