On October 25th, the 7th Sports Meeting of Jiangsu University Jingjiang College was held ceremoniously at the track and field stadium of the Changshan Campus of Jiangsu University. Cui Jingui, the Party secretary of Jingjiang College, Du Daolin, the dean of Jingjiang College, Fan Yanhua, Chen Mingjun and Li Wenxin, the vice deans, Jiang Hao, the deputy Party secretary and secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, Li Zongtang, the deputy director of the Department of Physical Education of Jiangsu University, and Bian Kangrong, the former deputy director of the Department of Physical Education of Jiangsu University, attended the opening ceremony. All the teachers from the functional departments of Jingjiang College, teachers and students from various secondary colleges, all the athletes and all the referees participated in the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Vice Dean Chen Mingjun.
Accompanied by the impassioned Athletes' March, along with their forceful steps and high-spirited slogans, a total of nine phalanx teams, including representatives of the faculty and staff of the administrative organs, teachers and students of secondary colleges and referees, entered the stadium one by one to receive the inspection.
After the entrance ceremony, there was a solemn flag-raising ceremony. During the playing of the national anthem, all the teachers and students present stood up to pay their respects.
Du Daolin delivered the opening speech. He pointed out that without sports, there could be no powerful country, and without sports, there could be no rejuvenation. Sports carry the dream of a prosperous country and the rejuvenation of the nation. The writing of history has never been separated from the passion, responsibility and dedication of the youth. For a long time, the college has attached great importance to sports work and regarded sports as a crucial part of the talent cultivation system for the all-round development of students. On the campus, the energetic joggers, the teenagers striving hard in the gymnasium and those galloping freely on the track and field all demonstrated the boundless enthusiasm of the people of Jingjiang College for sports. Meanwhile, he put forward three hopes: Firstly, he hoped that everyone would strive hard and achieve good results in the competitions; secondly, he hoped that everyone would enjoy the process and show unity in the competitions; thirdly and most importantly, he hoped that everyone would pay attention to safety and compete healthily.
At the opening ceremony, the representatives of athletes and referees took the oath. Then a grand awarding ceremony was held.
