On Oct. 31st, led by the school counsellors, 60 freshman representatives of our college entered Zhenjiang Watercraft College (student team 5) to visit and learn.

The activity was planned by Jingjiang College and Zhenjiang Watercraft College (student team 5) together to help the freshmen to learn from the soldiers the spirit of hard work, perseverance and being helpful, and so that they can require themselves more strictly with higher standard and be ready to face challenges.

Under the warm guidance of the military instructor, the students appreciated the grace of soldiers, and wondered at the practice of drill formations, the drill of combat boxing, and the soldiers’ perfect synchronization; later, the students also visited the military dormitories, where the officers and soldiers demonstrated the process of folding the quilt into a form like tofu, and the students were deeply impressed by the army’s rigorous life style; in the end, the students and the instructors conducted interaction in the wonderful programs such as short sketch, dance and instrumental performance, which also showed students the versatile side of the military instructors.

The students returned school happily with gains, still enthusing about what they had seen and heard in the army this afternoon. The students said that the visit was worthwhile for they had learned a lot from it, and they would work harder to improve their profession and quality in an all-round way.
