On the afternoon of October 24, 2013, a forum on the planning of buildings for students’ residence hall, cafeteria and students’ activity center was held in conference room in the fifth floor. The forum which invited some leaders and experts on student affairs, directors from office of student affairs, secretary of the Communist Youth League, counselors and some student representatives was presided over by Mr. Wang Shanmin, the deputy secretary of the Party committee and deputy dean of Jingjiang College.

First of all, the participants watched photographs about students’ residence hall, cafeteria and students’ activity center. and then they listened to the draft on the planning of building functions based on the investigation of the new campus. The draft put forward that buildings for students in the new campus should embody humanization, standardization and modernization with the concept of being modern and elegant. Meanwhile, the draft illustrated preliminary planning of buildings for students’ residence hall, cafeteria, and students’ activity center.

After that, leaders, teachers and student representatives developed into a discussion focusing on requirements of environment, transportation system and personalization. The forum which emphasized respect to public notions and feelings aimed to provide new ideas for a modern campus with full-function and rational layout.
