Respecting, loving and helping the elderly is the traditional Chinese virtues. In order to inherit and carry forward the fine essence of thinking which respects elderly people, and promote overall social progress in China. On April 21, members of Youth Volunteer Committee of Jingjiang College launched “loving and respecting the elderly” campaign in Jianbi Nursing Home. They sent their care and warmth to the elderly people in the nursing home despite the heavy rain. The volunteers helped the elderly people clean house, cut finger-nails, chatted and played chess with them… Finally, the volunteers took photos with the elderly people to records the activities of this day.
