On October 27th, Our school held the 6th Sports Meeting in the track and field of Changshan Campus of Jiangsu University. Cui Jingui, Secretary of the Party Committee of our school, Du Daolin, Vice Presidents Fan Yanhua, Chen Mingjun, Deputy Director of the Sports Department of Jiangsu University Li Zongtang, former Deputy Director of the Sports Department of Jiangsu University Bian Kangrong attended the opening ceremony, heads of functional departments of our school, teachers and students of secondary colleges, all participants and all referees attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Vice President Wang Guolin.
To impassioned music of athletes’ marching, accompanied by spirited steps and powerful slogans, eight teams of administrative staff and faculty and students of the secondary college entered in turn to accept the review.
After the entrance ceremony was a solemn national flag raising ceremony, during which all teachers and students stood up to salute.
Du Daolin delivered the opening address. He pointed out that sports carry the dream of national prosperity and rejuvenation. When people is strong in sports, China is strong, and when our country prospers, sports prosper. Physical education is also an important part of school education, and is a basic project to realize the fundamental task of moral education. Our college has attached great importance to physical education and competition activities since the establishment. Our school constantly insists on integrating physical education into talent training and moral education, with sports cultivating wisdom and sports nourishing mind, and strives to train socialist builders and successors with all-round development of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetics and labor education. At the same time, he shared three insights: first, keep exercise and enhance the health; second, adhere to self-discipline and be positive; third, promote sportsmanship and pursue excellence.
At the opening ceremony, the representatives of referees and participants took the oath. Then came the performances of students and teachers, which vividly demonstrated the charm and vitality of people from Jingjiang College.
